67 Pakistanis in Tihar who don’t want to return home
A group of 67 Pakistani nationals, including 12 children, lodged at Tihar jail for the past 19 months are in no mood to return home.
Last week, the inmates, who belong to the Ahmadiyya community, approached the Delhi High Court, requesting it to stop the execution of the Home Ministry’s decision to “withdraw” cases against them and “repatriate” them.
According to the petition filed on the Pakistanis’ behalf by the Mehdi Foundation International Organisation, they are unwilling to return home because they fear they will be “persecuted in Pakistan on religious grounds”. They face “blasphemy charges” that are “punishable by either life term or execution”.

I am a member of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. I read your today's article about the 67 Pakistani Nationals in Tihar Jail.
I wish to inform you that these 67 Pakistani Individuals are not members of Ahmadiyya Community and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has no direct OR indirect relationship with the "Gauhar Shahi" sect. It is a fact that we have been Persecuted in Pakistan but we are not associated with the Gauhar Shahi.
Hence it is a mistake on your behalf to associate the Ahmadiyya Community with them. I request you to kindly make a correction in your article as early as possible.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a religious organization, international in its scope, with branches in over 193 countries in Africa, North America, South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. This is the most dynamic denomination of Islam in modern history, with worldwide membership exceeding tens of millions.
The Ahmadiyya Community was established in 1889 by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) in a small and remote village, Qadian, in the Punjab, India. He claimed to be the expected reformer of the latter days, the Awaited One of the world community of religions (The Mahdi and Messiah). The Community he started is an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam -- peace, universal brotherhood, and submission to the Will of God -- in its pristine purity.

Please bear in mind that the poster above is not the same person as me. I am Shahid Kamal Ahmad. I left the Ahmadiyya and reverted to Islam in 2004.
I can assure you that Ahmadis are not members of the Muslim community.
It is rank hypocrisy that the same community that cries wolf all over the world about alleged persecution because they feel that nobody should be persecuted once they say they are Muslim (whether they are Muslim or not) should not disassociate themselves from people who call themselves Ahmadi.
The Ahmadiyya is an anti-Muslim organisation that fails to find a foothold in any Muslim country because Muslims do not believe in the impostor of Qadian, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.
This man was actually born in 1839, he says that himself in his own writings, yet his followers want to prove him wrong on that fact because one of his prophecies would remain unfulfilled. (Not that it matters, all of his prophecies were junk)
Individual Ahmadiyya members claim asylum routinely in Western countries in order to obtain state benefits and to gain citizenship. They are often helped by other Ahmadis in this regard. Here we have a group of them in prison and suddenly it makes the community look really bad, so you have this gang of crooks distancing themselves. The hypocrisy is typical of their founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.

I meant to write:
"It is rank hypocrisy that the same community that cries wolf all over the world about alleged persecution because they feel that nobody should be persecuted once they say they are Muslim (whether they are Muslim or not) should then go on to disassociate themselves from people who call themselves Ahmadi.
The Ahmadis are quick to detach themselves from any elements within their community that might bring them PR and to cruelly socially boycott such 'dissidents' - and they are quick to associate violent actions with the whole of Islam."
Indian people knows Ahmadies better then this extremist hypocrite who is strong supporter of Taliban Terrorist & their agenda of killing all non muslim.
He was kicked out of jamaat now in revenge he has gone mad and propogating against Jamaat Ahmadiyya.
He and his associates are strong believers that very soon Muslim will kill Hindus Christian Jews and will rule the world.
Aman
He is a dirty liar.
Aman, do you realise that by pouring forth lie sin public, you open yourself up for a libel suit? Care to stop hiding behind an on-line persona?
For everyone's information, please google my name, Shahid Kamal Ahmad and you will see at the top of the list how publicly I left, precisely to counter this kind of ill-informed nonsense.
As for your other claims, they are risible. Please address the topic instead of attacking the messenger, that is a Zionist technique. Mind you, recently Shimon Peres, the Monster of Qana was made welcome at your Kababeer centre and treated like a guest of honour.

The Community he started is an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam -- peace, universal brotherhood, and submission to the Will of God -- in its pristine purity.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is united globally under the hand of his holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad the 5th and present Successor (Khalifa) of the Promised Messiah (Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad). Yes It is true that we (Ahmadiyya Muslim Community) have been Persecuted in Pakistan since 1953, several members of our community are behind bars for religious persecution in Pakistan but not a single member of our community has taken such a step.
It is very interesting to mention here that the founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim community and all his successors including the present Supreme Head of our community have taught us that one must be loyal and faithful to his/her county .119 years of our communities history is witness of our loyalty and faithfulness to our respective nations.
It is highly irresponsible of you on behalf of a reputed newspaper like Hindustan Times to allege such a peaceful community and its members with such cheap acts.
Therefore I would request you to apologize in your immediate edition of the Hindustan Times for your baseless article.

My name is Sarmad Ahmed & I am an Ahmadi Muslim. I would like to point out a serious mistake in reporting the case of 67 Pakistanis who don't want to return home. These 67 Pakistanis belong to Goher Shahi sect & not Ahmadiyya sect. You are requested to kindly issue clarification in this regard as incorrect reporting or such serious mistake in the news of an esteemed organization like yours is not something that can be ignored.
