Journalist tosses shoe at home minister over Tytler clean chit

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend
A Journalist tossed a shoe at Union Home Minister P.Chidambaram during a news conference in Delhi to protest the Central Bureau of Investigation's clean chit to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

The shoe didn't hit the minister who got out of the way just in time. The journalist, Jarnail Singh, was promptly led out of the conference being held at the Congress headquarters. Chidambaram carried on with the briefing.

But the incident touched a raw nerve in the Congress, prompting a section of the party to support a rethink on party tickets to Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar - who have faced charges of involvement in the anti-Sikh riots.

It is an open secret that Tytler was involved. The blatant attempt to sweep under the carpet is nauseating.May be showing shoe is not correct.;but what about blatant attempt to save the accused? You can't keep emotions in check.Unless handled properly,Tytler issue may reopen Khalistan demand.Be watchful when dealing with sensitive issues.

Not only this current Congress but also for the time Late rajiv he was there to comment that when the big tree falls the earth will shake meaning it is with his concurence that the Delhi burnt for 4 days
this is a SHAME for India that after 25 years we have not been able to bring the guilty to book
